One of the biggest reason customer's purchase the Model 4922 is because it comes with a UHF universal remote control. The UHF simply means that you do not need to point the remote at the receiver to operate it. This amazing remote allows you to turn the channel up to 100 feet away from the receiver, even through walls. There are a number of other reasons why this is a favorite system to start with. Event timers allow you to program your VCR to record a show or tune into a preprogrammed channel when it starts. There are three different timers.
(1) The VCR Timer can be set to record up to 10 different programs when you are gone. The receiver will turn on all by itself, tune into the specific channel you would like to record, and trigger your VCR to record your program. You don't even have to to set up your VCR to record separately. Just put in a tape, turn the VCR on, and the receiver handles everything automatically.
(2) The Auto-Tune Timer lets you program the receiver to turn the channel at a certain time so you don't have to pay attention to the time. The receiver will automatically turn to the different channels that you have programmed in.
(3) The Reminder Timer flashes a reminder notice in the form of a clock just before a preprogrammed channel begins. You have to actually turn the channel, this one is not done automatically. As you can see, the 4922 DISH Network System is loaded with extras. If you plan on hooking up multiple TV's to one receiver this model is an excellant choice.
